The Children of Lir Dark Blue cufflinks are a unique hand crafted item designed for the sophisticated man who wants to add a little colour to his formal attire. The compact size of the Meab enamel cufflink allows for personality and individuality to be revealed discreetly. These cufflinks were inspired by the story of the Children of Lir which is very famous in Irish mythology. Under a magic spell the children were transformed into swans and left to reside on Lough Derravaragh for three hundred years. We craft our jewellery and live very close to Lough Derravaragh and often walk the shores and admire the migrating swans that appear here every year to breed. The Children of Lir dark blue cufflinks can be matched with our Children of Lir small drop earrings for that lady in your life. All our enamel jewelry is open fired here in our workshop in Multyfarnham which is nestled deep in the green Irish countryside. The open fired method of enameling is rare and helps us to produce very individual pieces. These will forever be individual to the wearer. This particular art form is very hot work and best suited to Irish winter weather. This is good for us as we can try to create some free time during the summer months to travel and be inspired. Ireland is very much the root of our inspiration and can be seen in the various collections which we have to offer.
