Visit to Northern Ireland

Hi ALL, This weekend my boyfriend Charlie and I are lucky enough to heading up North to the North Antrim coast and Rathlin island. Meab Enamels is sold to a couple of shops up that way including ‘ Bushmills’ crafts, maybe we’ll have to have a tipple of whiskey!! It is fantastic part of Ireland to visit.. for all those who haven’t made it up that way it’s definitely worth a visit and everyone is extremely friendly!
Charlie and I were there a few years ago and you can do lots in a weekend…. In just  three days , we had night out in Belfast,, at the time we went to see the lipizzanners horse show in the Odessey arena. We hit the road north then for the coast and spent a night just outside Ballycastle ,, in a B & B that was just top class! We went to the Giants Causeway, Kilbane Castle, ( a small but cool little castle) , the rope bridge and Dunluce castle!
So this time around we will do the rounds the shops.. and we will also visit Rathlin island! Rathlin is supposed to be Ireland’s first inhabited Island., Marconi made his first ever transmission from the mainland to Rathlin, It is 8 miles long and about a mile wide!! Not too big which is grand as we’ll be on foot! Hopefully there will be a beach or two and we can jump in the sea. So that’s the story with Rathlin ,, it’s also a great bird haven,, so we’d better bring the binoculars!:)
Theres a little craft shop there too so we ‘ll have to call in there too! I’ll let you all know how it goes…have a good one
